Born in Hong Kong and educated in Vancouver, Canada. Marco now lives in Surrey with his wife and 2 young daughters (born in 2012 & 2015).
A prolific break builder Marco has achieved over 300 century’s and three 147 breaks in professional competition since qualifying for the Main Tour in 1998 with a highest ranking position of #6
Marco is best known for winning the 2007 Grand Prix beating Ronnie O’Sullivan in the final and winning the 2013 Australian Goldfields Open.

1. Who is your ultimate sporting Hero/Idol?
A. ‘Michael Jordan’

2. How old were you when you started playing snooker?
A. ‘I started playing snooker when I was 8.’

3. What would your Ideal Career be, if not a professional Snooker Player?
A. ‘I’ve always been a sports fan so I’ll be involved in something to do with sports.’

4. Whats the most embarrassing thing to ever happen to you?
A. ‘Not any really.’

5. How do you like to relax when you’re away from the table?
A. ‘I’ve got 2 daughters now, so a day out with the family in a park is perfect.’

6. What is your favourite food?
A. ‘Home made chinese food.

7. Do you have a Pre-Match Routine?
A. ‘simple routine – a nice meal 2 hours before match, short practice 30 mins before match and a little quiet time on my own 10 mins before match.’

8. What are your hopes and ambitions for the future?
A. ‘I would like to become a successful snooker coach.’
